Get ready to have a truly unique dining experience because eating at this site is a little out of the ordinary. Everything is made fresh, using local, organic ingredients when possible and the chef takes great pride in offering some of the best food in Alaska. A comfortable and elegant yet distinctly outdoorsy atmosphere inspired by African safaris surrounds glampers as they enjoy gourmet soups and deliciously fresh dinner salads for appetizers, cedar plank grilled salmon and king crab with roasted rosemary potatoes and fresh seasonal veggies for the main course, and a selection of house made desserts to finish it all off. Their most famous dish is their filet mignon: a beautiful piece of prime certified angus beef grilled to perfection.
Vegetarians, do not fear! Several creative vegetarian choices are available, such as a beets and goat cheese salad with garlic vinaigrette. The yurt is elegantly furnished with candle lanterns and nice silverware, keeping the not-so-African climate in mind. Enjoy a selection of fine beers and wines with a meal. Watch the moose in the lower yard during summer evenings or get out the binoculars and watch sheep on the hillside and glampers will experience what the locals call the Alaskan safari feeling.

Summer Dogsled Tour and Helicopter Flight - The most popular tour and one of the best Alaskan adventures out there! Imagine friends or family members on a private helicopter tour to a remote glacier. Glampers can run a dog team on real snow, meet the new puppies, and listen to the stories of the 1,100-mile long Iditarod race. There is amazing scenery during a 35-minute helicopter tour and the local expert dog musher makes this the best trip in Alaska and beyond! Season: May 14 - September 5.
Helicopter Tour with Glacier Landing - Alaska is home to some of the largest glaciers on earth. Envision exploring this magical landscape by helicopter. Glampers can fly over ice towers and see gigantic icebergs roll over in a glacial lake. They can also hover in front of the deep blue icewall and land on a glacier. Unlike most glaciated areas the Chugach Mountains offer abundant wildlife like moose, mountain goats, and bears. Season: May 10 - September 15
Heli Hiking - From late-May until the end of September, guests can enjoy the thrill of a helicopter flight combined with high alpine walking in south-central Alaska. Glampers can come and experience the rugged Chugach Mountains away from the crowds. Guided tours are offered for small groups of two to five people, so glampers will have plenty of quality time in the wilderness with outstanding opportunities to see wildlife and classic Alaska scenery.
Other activities include taking an ATV tour to Knik Glacier and visiting farmlands in historic Palmer and picking giant veggies. At this site, guests can rest, relax, and reunite with their family at a cozy wilderness lodge. For the hikers in the group, exploring the nearby Hatcher Pass and the historic Independence Mine State Park is a must.
