Based in the town of Sterling, this waterfront cabin rental is surrounded by tall pines and sits on the banks of the Kenai River making it the perfect destination for fishing trips as well as gateways to the Alaskan wilderness. The cabin is situated on five acres of private waterfront with the Kenai River just steps away from the cabin’s entrance.
The cabin's interior is bright and stylish with wood panel walls and flooring giving it a rustic elegance. The cabin can accommodate up to nine guests in its three bedrooms over two floors with queen-size beds in each room and futons also available. Guests have access to two bathrooms that each come with a toilet, a hand basin, and a shower.
The open concept main room has a cozy sofa beside a wood burning stove and in front of a television complete with Direct TV. There is a large dining table for six adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen where guests can find an oven, a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator as well as cooking utensils and ample space for several chefs. There is also a freezer especially provided to preserve the day’s catch. The French windows of the main room open up to spectacular views of the river and a wooden veranda that includes seating and a barbecue grill.
Outdoors, guests can celebrate the day’s successful fishing with a few cold ones by the firepit and share stories while sitting under the clear, Alaskan sky.
The waterfront cabin features a hand-hewn veranda that comes with magnificent views of the Kenai River and the front doors are just steps away from the shore. Guests can enjoy a morning coffee in the fresh air on the deck seating or cook up a barbecue meal from the grill and end the day in style. There is a firepit just outside the cabin where guests can warm up under the stars and there is a wood-burning stove in the living that keeps the cabin cozy all year round.
