This rustic and comfortable beach house was built for privacy and has ocean views out every window, making it a great spot for a vacation in Alaska. Up to eight guests can be accommodated among its three bedrooms: the master bedroom has a king-size bed, the second has a queen-size bed, and the sleeping loft has four twin beds, the perfect place for the kids. The master bathroom has a private ensuite and the second bathroom is in the hallway.

The open living area has a vaulted ceiling with a fireplace, making it a warm and inviting space for guests to relax after a busy day exploring the stunning surroundings. The spacious kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, with an island for the chef of the group to be kept company. Meals can be enjoyed at the large dining table.

Outside on the wooden deck there are a couple of deck chairs by a fire pit, providing an awesome space to enjoy the incredible views. The communal hot tub is a great place to sink into for a long relaxing soak at the end of a busy day kayaking on the lake or spotting the incredible wildlife that call this area home. Just a 30-minute, scenic water taxi ride from Homer, AK, MacDonald Spit is a mile long finger of ancient glacier moraine, 75 feet wide, with Kasitsna Bay and Kachemak Bay on either side. There are extreme tides which make for great clamming and tide pooling. Guests can watch the sun rise over one beach and set over the other, surrounded by spruce and alder with views of the bays, islands, and snow-capped mountains. The historic village of Seldovia is 7.5 miles down a maintained, old logging road. From Homer, guests will need to arrange for transportation by water taxi, ferry, or air.
