This luxury waterfront cabin rental, with beach access, offers one of the most unique locations near Homer in South-central Alaska. On the 30 minute, scenic water taxi ride to the cabin, guests should keep an eye out for whales and other abundant wildlife which can also be enjoyed from the cabin window. Guests can watch the sun rise over the water on one beach and set over the water on the other. The cabin rental has one full-size and one twin size-bed, and one full bathroom with plenty of space for up to three guests.

Guests will enjoy meals in the cabin with the well-equipped kitchenette. In the past, guests have loved waking up and going tide-pooling or clamming. There are buckets and clam rakes in the cabin. Guests have also enjoyed taking the rowboat or kayaks out in the bay, which are included in the rental. There are two private seating areas on each beach with Adirondack chairs and picturesque views. Guest Services

Although the hosts do not prepare or cook meals, they do offer fresh and fresh frozen salmon and halibut for sale.

There is also a honesty bar in the art gallery.
Guests' check-in and check-out times will depend largely on tides. Mako's Water Taxi will bring glampers to the front door of the cabin and will let guests know the tides when they book their ride with them.

Please be aware that you may be checking in on the same tide as the guests beforehand are checking out. If this is the case, while the hosts prepare the cabin, guests can go for a beach walk, take out one of the kayaks or rowboats, or hang out in the cozy art studio where you can shop for craft kits and unique ceramic souvenirs or just enjoy a cup of coffee.

Location + Surroundings

Beyond the end of the road, guests will find this property sandwiched between two beaches on the MacDonald Spit. There are extreme tides which make for great clamming and tide pooling. Guests can watch the sun rise over one beach and set over the other, surrounded by spruce and alder with views of the bays, islands, and snow-capped mountains.
