Spring Getaways in Ohio

The cold and snowy winter is finally over, which means it’s perfect timing to plan your spring getaway in Ohio. Whether you’re a local or or visiting from out of state, there are plenty of outdoor recreational activities to participate in with 70 state parks and 130 state nature preserves. Take a zipline through the tree canopy to get an above ground perspective of your surroundings. Hikers have lots of options, including Cedar Falls Hiking Trail, A.W. Marion State Park, and Maumee Bay State Park. There are plenty of waterways to explore on a kayak - head to Cuyahoga Falls, or north along the coast of Lake Erie. Other spring activities include horseback riding, tobogganing if there’s still some snow left, biking, and taking a hot air balloon ride.
